Can I choose my own repair facility after an accident, or do I have to get my vehicle repaired at my insurance company’s “preferred” shop?
In the State of Texas, you have the right to use the repair facility of your choice. By law, you may have your vehicle towed to and repaired at any repair facility you choose, and you’re only required to have one estimate.
Who collects my deductible – the insurance company or the body shop?
You pay your deductible to Hillcountry Collision when you pick up your vehicle, after repairs are complete.
How do I schedule an appointment for an estimate?
No appointment is required – walk-ins are welcome during normal business hours. After hours and on weekends, appointments are necessary. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Do you provide a written guarantee?
Yes, Hillcountry Collision provides a lifetime warranty on all work performed in our shop, for as long as you own the vehicle.
Can I be required to take my vehicle to a drive-in facility for an estimate?
No, as an insured driver, you have the right to take your vehicle to any shop you prefer – for your estimate and for repairs.
How soon are parts ordered for repairs?
If you’re filing an insurance claim, we begin the tear-down process after we receive approval from the insurance company. During tear-down, there may be an estimate supplement that requires approval. After receiving final approval, parts are ordered.
If this is a customer-pay job, parts are ordered as soon as you approve the estimate and drop your vehicle off for repairs.
Will I be notified throughout the repair process?
Yes, we will provide you with frequent status updates. Feel free to call or e-mail the shop during the repair process if you have questions or concerns.
How do I schedule my collision repair?
Call the shop to schedule your repair, if we haven’t already discussed drop-off details during your estimate appointment.
Do you provide rental car assistance?
Yes, our team will be happy to reserve a rental vehicle for you. It’s part of our commitment to make the collision repair process hassle-free.
Do you provide help with the insurance process?
Yes, at Hillcountry Collision, we work with all reputable insurance companies to help process your claim. We do this every day, and we always remember that you, not the insurer, are our customer.
